Privacy Policy

Last updated on March 6, 2026.

amux ("amux," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you interact with our websites, products, or services (collectively, the "Services").

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are stored using a one-way hash and are never stored in plain text. You may optionally provide a display name and profile picture.

If you sign in using a third-party provider such as GitHub or Google, we receive and store a limited set of profile information from that provider (such as your name and email address) along with a provider-specific identifier. We do not receive or store your third-party password.

Session Data

When you use the amux cloud relay to access your agents remotely, terminal session data is transmitted through our servers in real-time. This data is not stored on our servers. It is relayed in transit and held only in temporary in-memory buffers that are discarded when the session ends. Our cloud relay servers forward session data as opaque payloads without inspecting the contents. All cloud connections are encrypted using TLS.

Cookies

We use cookies solely for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.

Analytics and Telemetry

We do not use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics. We collect internal telemetry (such as request metrics and error rates) for the purpose of operating and monitoring the Services. This telemetry does not include personal information or session content.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting or infrastructure, and only to the extent necessary for them to perform those services. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.

Retention and Security

Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. Session data is not persisted beyond the lifetime of a session. Authentication tokens expire automatically according to their configured lifetimes.

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

You may choose not to provide certain information to us, though doing so may limit your ability to use some features of the Services. If you wish to delete your account and remove your personal information from our systems, please contact us at the email address below. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information under applicable laws.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after any changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
